“We want people to know we love good design and we love good bourbon, the original motivation behind our brand. We’ve combined these two loves into products that reflect a bourbon-lover’s life.”
Bourbon Cousins™ is a pattern-design and product development studio based in warehouse space in Cincinnati’s OTR neighborhood. Simply put, we’re designing cousins who share a love of bourbon and the precious love of our grandmother. Our roots, along with many family members, hold us firmly to our home state of Kentucky. We are life-long entrepreneurs and designers, founding businesses in both Louisville and Cincinnati. As multi-disciplined professionals centered in creative direction, fabric & graphic design, branding & strategy, interior decorating as well as print manufacturing, we integrate our multi-faceted design perspectives into each collection. Both Pam and Claudia are members of the Bourbon Women Association.
The Bourbon Cousins™ brand was born when two designing cousins merged their love of design with their shared love of bourbon.
Our region’s love of bourbon has grown into an impressive global love affair, and, as cousins raised in Kentucky, we take much pride in the state’s rich bourbon heritage. As designers, we set out to match the consumers’ growing enthusiasm for bourbon, by designing original, bourbon-themed patterns, which are ultimately made into products for the marketplace.
We began intentionally filling the gap for on-trend, elevated, modern & refined designs. We find most people enjoy giving our products as gifts to the bourbon lovers in their lives and we love hearing how conversations are sparked by someone wearing one of our ties, scarves or socks.
Our bourbon-themed gifts end up creating a bond through a little shared interest called bourbon. Soon enough, a connection forms over a favorite bourbon or cocktail. We enjoy the simple way bourbon brings people together. It helps capture the spirit of friendship and family traditions.
As more and more people find themselves embracing bourbon and its surrounding culture, a curiosity naturally arises. A desire develops for more knowledge and experiences, related to both the production of and the enjoyment of American whiskey.
The newly intrigued will find a large and vast group of welcoming, knowledgeable industry professionals, marketers, distillers, stewards, cocktail crafters, authors, bloggers, podcasters, storytellers, guides and historians ready to help them cultivate their passion for America’s Native Spirit.
